SPRINGFIELD-ST. JUDE RUN FAQ'S 1. What is the run? The run is a fundraising event (with a little running) that takes place in 21 cities and ends in Peoria at the Civic Center. 2. How do I raise the money? We provide you with the material for a letter writing campaign or you can get use your own creative ideas. 3. How much money do I need to raise? $500 - but don't stop there! 4. When is the run? Always the first Saturday in August. 5. How long is the run? 74 miles 6. Where do we meet and what time? Capitol Airport at 5:00 a.m. 7. How far does each runner run? Each leg of the run is between 1 and 3.5 miles. You can run as many or as few as you like. 8. Do we have to run them all at once? No - spread them out throughout the day. 9. What time do we get back to Springfield? Usually between 9 and 10 p.m. 10. What about food and drinks? We provide it all. 11. What about transportation? We provide it. You can also have family members meet you in Peoria and ride back with them if you like. 12. What if it rains? We run - rain or shine. 13. What do we bring? Running clothes, a change of clothes for Peoria, towel and toiletries for the showers. Runners must wear a safety green shirt (we provide), bring your own safety green shirt or wear a vest. 14.
